Sefdin contains Cefdinir, a third-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic. It is indicated for treating a variety of bacterial infections including community-acquired pneumonia, acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, acute bacterial sinusitis, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections. Cefdinir works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and bacterial death. Its broad-spectrum activity covers many Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.
